"The King of Vea." grandma Linda uttered breathlessly. "What caused him howling in the middle of a night? Could it be trouble?" she said, looking anxious and concerned."Will he come after us... grandma?!" Jomari gasped. Linda gave him an unsure smile while patting his head before turning to me.
"He will not hurt anyone in this area. I will promise you that. Believe my words, there's no need to be frightened." I said sternlyand Jomari smiled at me. His eyes sparkled in admiration but fear never left them.
That King. He's doing things because he likes it without consideration. I'm sure he just found out his Luna is missing. It won't take much of his time to look for me. He can smell me and track me. He haven't marked me yet, he's gone for a week and his marks are fading. I can easily remove his scent and make it hard for him to find me.

"I'm afraid I can't tell you about my relationship with Xan-- the King, for now. But I promise, everything's gonna be fine." I said and their faces lighten up. I forced mine to do the same. But to be honest, I'm not really confident about calming him since Xander sounded pissed off.
It's such a shame that I've stayed here for a month and I didn't even know the real events here in Vea. Of course there is no such thing as a perfect kingdom. Even Vea, who seemed to be flawless and powerful enough to induce fear towards other kingdoms, has holes. But maybe I can fix that, for this country. The formerly foreign place that now I consider home . Like a Queen.
"Can you do me a favor, Jomari?" I asked.
"What is it?" he said while folding some matresses and helping grandma Linda sleep. It's midnight already and the surroundings were quiet. Refreshing.
"Can you lend me clothes and wash my dress using hot water? Or at least warm water. Please?" I told him. He gave me nod and smiled at me.
He gave me a spare of clothes and I changed. It's embarrassing to see that there is not much of space and I had to undress right where I am.
"Thank you." I said and Jomari did what he was told. I sigh and sat next to Linda.
It's my first time in a month to be this far from the castle. It became rather refreshing for me, actually. I became suffocated and exhausted there, even though I only performed light work. I feel lonely even though I was not alone. I longed for Xander and all he ever do is have dinner with me. Kiss my neck within a split second then sleep on another room.
I hate this feeling. It's like he was slowly drifting away from me. Without me knowing the reason behind it. It's softly killed me when he refused to stay. Knowing how much I love Xander. His behavior made me feel useless and unneeded
I want to be alone. I want to breathe and run from that feeling! Now that I am far and he cannot track me. Will he miss me? Will he look for me? What could he possibly feel? Would he feel the same thing I felt these days? But the sad truth is that, I can only ask but I don't know how to answer. And before I noticed, I was crying.
"What's wrong, Amy?" Linda said and turn to me. I sobbed more. I wish Grandma is here with me. I miss her so much!
"I can't explain.. Sorry Grandma Linda." I said and faked a smile, trying to stop my tears.
"Sometimes when you think you got it all figured out, life throws you a curve ball and you are back to square one." she said and held my hand. Her gentle smile made me feel warm, but my.tears didn't stop. "but for some reason, that curve ball makes us stronger. So lighten up Amy. There's always a rainbow after a storm. I'm sure everything will be perfectly fine. Lily is with you, remember?" she said and kissed my forehead.
