In the late 70's and 80's, children's entertainment was starting to go down hill. Less nurturing and educational, and just mindless slapstick, or corporate owned properties to sell toys. Few tried to combat this, but then came the daring, game-changing short feature "You on Kazoo". After the marvelous "You on Kazoo" was released... nothing changed, kids entertainment was still dumb, and it always will be. Nobody saw this stupid thing. Yet at the same time there were tons more people, like maybe 10 of us who rediscovered this and enlightened our children with this. since then, "You on Kazoo" has gained a reputation for being the greatest children's program of all time! When Fred Rogers first viewed it, he bowed…

Wow..
YouTube viral.

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
This masterpiece of a movie is more of a statement of our society today than it was in 1989. The main character, Brett, is a blonde hair, blue eyed privileged white kid who at the beginning is separate from the diverse group of kids. This is a statement on how his white privilege makes him feel superior to the other kids and as a result, he segregates himself from the group. Then we, the progressive audience, has to force him and even hurt him to make him join the crowd. If this parallels today's anti fascist movement in that they use intimidation and violence for a better outcome.
One major symbolism in this picture is the Kazoo, which obviously symoolizes…
