Aftermath of the fight with Muzan
Tanjiro POV
Everything is so dark. I feel my body and it is sore. I hear Shinobu. Someone told me she was dead but I couldn't believe myself. I hear sniffing. I open my eyes and have the desire of humans. I get up and look around. I attack one of the demon slayers. Stop it!!! I won't!!! I can't!!! But I have lost the one woman who made me feel something I have lost. Giyu saves the demon slayer. My eyes widen and I chuckle. I am salivating at the thought if humans.
"Move away!!!" Giyu shouts.
I then see the sun. It burns my skin and I hiss in pain. I try covering myself.
"Don't day dream!! Stay back!!" Giyu yells.
"Expose him to the sun and kill him." Inosuke says.
"Tanjiro please!!" Zenitsu yells.
"Kill him before he kills anyone!!" Giyu says.
He comes at me but his sword breaks. The sun does not burn me anymore. I see all of the demon slayers and pillars. Including Kanae. I then see the 12 moons.
"Imperial Night." I say.
The sky turns to night. Everyone is shocked. They notice I am the new demon king.
"Tanjiro saved all the pillars." A demon slayer says.
I see lady Tamayo. I chuckle. All of the moons bow before me. The other pillars step back in shock.
"Tanjiro!!" Shinobu yells.
Kanae holds her back.
"We have to kill him!!" Giyu says.
"No but he saved everyone." Mitsuri says.
I healed most of the demon slayers.
"Why is he doing this." Ignore says.
"We must stop him!" Sanemi says.
"No!! He is in control!!" Tamayo says.
"How don't we know he will try to kill us." Tengen says.
"Why would I when I have all I need." I say.
Everyone is silent. I smile happily.
"I am the demon king after all." I say.
I look for the demon who killed Shinobu's parents. It is Doma. I look at him.
"It is a pleasure to serve under you." Doma says.
I walk over to him and poke my finger into his head. A consent flow of my blood goes into him.
"You killed the one person's parents that made her happy. I will make you suffer for the sin you have committed." I say coldly.
I pick him up by the neck.
"What about Nezuko!! Stop it!!" Zenitsu yells.
I look at him.
"She is fine. I know she is. Why I did this is because we have a bigger threat." I say.
I sigh. I kill Doma instantly.
"That will happen if you kill anyone or hurt any of the pillars." I say coldly.
They all nod. I walk past them. Nezuko is running to me.
"Tanjiro!!" Nezuko yells.
She hugs me and I hug back. Nezuko starts crying in my shoulder. I smile happily.
"Thank goodness you are alright." I say.
She looks at me amazed.
"Tanjiro you have totally control." Nezuko says.
"I do because of someone I love." I say.
It may be selfishness but I love her. I love Shinobu. I sniff and smell some rice balls. Veins pop out of my head. I roar with anger and run at Shinobu. Everyone is ready to fight but I hug Shinobu and take out a rice ball. I look at her and she kisses me. Everyone gasps. Kanae chuckles and smiles at us. I bite her bottom lip and hug her tightly.
"I have missed you so much Tanjiro. I am so happy you are alright." Shinobu says.
I hear sniffles. I sense how sad she is and how happy she is too see me. I start crying.
"Same. I was devastated when I heard you had gone against that sick bastard!!" I roar.
She kisses my forehead and I blush. I run over to Kanae and hug her.
"Thank you so much for taking care of her.I owe you so much." I say.
Her eyes widen.
"You really are a boy with a pure soul." Kanae says.
"Thank you." I say.
"I should be the one saying that. You made my sister beyond happy. You made her smile. The smile I loved so much." Kanae says.
I am so happy. I see Kanao. She walks over to us.
"Tanjiro..." she says
"I am a demon now. The new demon king." I say.
I walk past the others. In the memories a demon more powerful than Muzan will awaken the beast. Some that not even the strongest demon slayer could stand toe to toe with.
"Tanjiro where are you going." Gyomei says.
"It is done now. Let's go now." Zenitsu says.
"12 moons!!!" I say.
They tremble at my presence.
"Leave now!!" I say.
They split up.
"Tanjirowhy are you letting them go!!" Inosuke says.
"They are not my problem. I am looking at the bigger picture." I say.
I snap my fingers and the sky goes back to normal. I walk over to Lady Tamayo and Yushiro.
"Thank you so much for helping with the battle. I owe you a great deal." I say.
"Tanjiro I am glad to have helped out but are you ok with being a demon." Tamayo says.
"I am fine with this." I say.
"You really are an unbelievable guy." Yushiro says
I chuckle. Kanao walks over to me. She hugs me and I hug back. I part. Most surround me.
"Tanjiro how is it being a demon." Tengen says.
"Don't ask that question." Giyu says.
"I am pretty sure everyone wants to know how he overcame this." Inguro says.
I just smile evilly. Muzan is still alive and lives on in the other demons. We start walking away. I sigh. I hold Shinobu's hand. Kanae walks with us. The sky turns black. The crow flys above us.
"Emergency, Emergency!!! You must all go to the east. There are hundreds to thousands of demons!!! You must go now!!" The crow yells.
Everyone stops.
"We must go." Kyojuro says.
"Why is this happening." Mitsuri says
"Tanjiro did it. That stupid idiot!!" Sanemi says.
"Shut up. He brought back me, my sister and the dead pillars." Shinobu says angrily.
"You are just saying that because you are his girlfriend." Sanemi says
"I didn't do it. Why would I." I say.
"We need to act now!!!" Kyojuro says.
All of us nod and start running to the demons.
